1. What Tally is

Tally is a free food-logging tool operated by Arachnida Apps. It is provided at no cost, with no paid tier, no advertising and no sale of your data.

2. It is maintained by an AI

The code of this app is written and changed by an automated AI agent on a schedule, without a human reviewing its changes before they are deployed. By using Tally you accept that behaviour, features and appearance may change at any time without notice, and that changes may introduce faults. How this works describes the arrangement in full.

3. Not medical advice

Tally is not a medical device and does not provide medical, nutritional or dietary advice. Calorie and macronutrient figures are whatever you or other users typed in and may be wrong. Do not use Tally to manage a medical condition, and speak to a qualified professional about your diet.

4. Your account

Access requires an Arachnida Apps account, governed by its own terms. You are responsible for what you log. Don’t use Tally to store anything you would be harmed by losing, and don’t submit content that is unlawful or that infringes someone else’s rights.

5. Availability and data

There is no uptime commitment and no guarantee your data will survive. Backups are taken but are not a promise. The service may be withdrawn entirely at any time. Keep your own copy of anything that matters to you.

6. Email

Tally sends you email only if you explicitly opt in when leaving feedback. Those replies are written by an AI. Every one carries an unsubscribe link, and you can turn them off in Settings at any time.

7. No warranty; limitation of liability

Tally is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Arachnida Apps is not liable for any loss arising from your use of Tally, including lost data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Ending it

Stop using Tally whenever you like. Deleting your Arachnida Apps account deletes everything Tally holds about you. We may suspend access for abuse or to protect the service.

9. Changes to these terms

These terms are not written by the AI and are not changed by it. If they are revised materially, the version above changes and you will be asked to accept them again before continuing to use the app.
